This is exactly the kind of project that resonates with me… bring together some durable floating stuff, pile up some dirt / sand on it, plant your little jungle and mangrove, erect your cabin and voilà, presto tropical island of yours on the cheap. Multiply by a few dozens of other people doing the same, join them together… you got your Burning Man On Water ready to accomodate ships of enthusiasts.
