We’re continuing our Novelists Program with a workshop with an experienced publisher, Adam Corres, on how to publish your book on Amazon.
Adam Corres formats and edits books for the International Association of Sedimentologists (Special Publications, field guides etc. – all peer reviewed science journal papers). They have moved publication to print on demand format. Adam thinks the initial stigma the industry had for self-publishing and print on demand has greatly reduced but, even so, building a reputation for quality can only be maintained with careful editing.
Adam will talk about how to edit, format and publish using Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). This is the easiest service to use and you can choose between hardback, paperback or Kindle e-book formats. KDP ‘print on demand’ has an advantage over traditional paper publishing because you can go back to your published manuscript, correct any errors that have been pointed out to you, then republish an improved version to replace the original. He can also answer questions related to conversion to audiobooks and book marketing services.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in self-publishing, whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction, whether you’re a Pulitzer Prize winner or haven’t written a word.
