What kind of society are you interested in living in?

Classic liberal: limited government, rule of law, individual responsibility and liberty, free markets, free trade

Singapore & Hong Kong have done extremely well applying the rule of law and supporting free markets, free trade, and fairly open immigration, but they do not show much respect for individual liberty. The Netherlands is great in individual liberty, but its socialism limits its growth.

The US founding principles are still beacons of liberty, which have been compromised by the huge growth of the government. Government's role should be to enforce a small and easily understood body of law, and protect its citizens from "bad guys". It should not be to take things away from successful people/entities and give them to unsuccessful ones.
