One thing to notice is that there are many prophets of doom,
each preaching a different path to salvation. Seasteading
enables any of these movements with sufficient funds and
followers to progress from words to actions. Aside from the
cynical observation that we can learn something from which groups
attempt this transition, we will learn even more from the
results. Seasteading turns the ocean into a laboratory for
societal innovation.
