As seacities develop, the seaconomy will grow, and seasteading
can become a full-time way of life for an increasing number of
people. Different political and legal systems will be
experimented with, and the most succesful emulated. Seasteads
will have become, not a utopia (which is impossible), but an
incremental improvement, a freer and more adaptable form of life.
That is our goal. But while we must keep it in the back of our
mind, our focus should be on the next couple steps. Thus we
proceed to your contribution and then a more detailed business
plan.

[Tue Nov 15 13:03:42 PST 2005-318] Eliot Grey:
Here as elsewhere you insist on confusing 2 COMPLETELY different things: the impossibility of an Ideal Utopia (no disease, crime, etc etc) with the very realistic and understandable desire of Libertarians to merely possess their own sovereign piece of land just like Botswana, Upper Volta, or any other country... In other words you are falsely opposing the obviously-impossible goal of an Ideal Society with your 'free-er but not Free ' concept, as if there is nothing in between those 2 poles !!

Huh? Your conclusion doesn't follow from the source paragraph. The author is saying that people can have any form of government they like, and while they will never reach utopia, they can choose their government to suit them. Libertarians can have their own sovereign city, and theycan do whatever they like on it.
