MA Thesis, Universiteit van Amsterdam, March, 1999. A great legal survey of the possibilities for artificial ocean structures to gain autonomy and recognition.
• Homestead (DOC), by Pat Whitaker. After reading our work, Pat was inspired to make a shipping container spar home design. The design is optimized for New Zealand, including a proposed location and the use of ironsand for ballast, and contains some excellent thoughts on the political and economic realities of seasteading.
