  1. Computer/Network Systems Engineer, B.S. in Computer Network Management with minors in both Electronic Systems and Communications Applications.
  2. Professional experience in military, military intelligence, physical and cyber security, and the restaurant/bar business, native English-speaker and fluent in Korean, rudimentary Spanish, Japanese, with phrases in a few other languages such as German, Russian, Mandarin Chinese.
  3. Hobbies include reading speculative fiction (sci-fi) and history,  studying for private pilot's license, shooting, survival skills, hiking, hunting, camping, rafting, skydiving (not certified yet). Planning to get dive certified soon. I play several instruments to some level. I'm handy with tools and good at visualizing mechanical solutions. I nearly bought a boat (government buy-back of a 53' commercial fisher) last year for conversion to live-aboard, but being stuck in Iraq, I was late picking up the excellent deal I had located. Still watching for the next good deal there.
  4. I've been interested in Ham radio for some time, but have not delved into it yet. I am a life-long learner and pick up new interests all the time.
  5. My home is near the Columbia River and not too far from the Oregon/Washington Coast.
  6. Edited to add: I know next to nothing about boats, or the living on th ocean, I just like the intellectual challenge.
